There are plenty of things to do and see in the Huddinge area. Alongside the excellent retail centre at Kungens Kurva there is also the Heron City entertainment centre. Its facilities include Sweden's biggest cinema with 18 screens, a bowling alley and weight training gym. Plus several cafes and restaurants.
There are numerous delightful cafes in Huddinge. Don't miss Café Nytorp, a cosy 18th Century garden café. You will find it on Gamla Stockholmsvägen, close to Källbrinks Idrottsplats.
Zetas trädgårdscafé close to Kungens Kurva is also worth a visit. Here you can enjoy home baked cakes and pastries with your coffee in a beautiful garden setting that also has a visitor shop.
If you prefer a coffee overlooking water, try Röda caféet on Fittjaviken, a tiny 17th century red cottage. On summer evenings you will often find vintage cars and motorcycles here.
From May to September the m/s Victoria stops at Vårby brygga en route to the Viking town of Birka and Stockholm.
