Enjoy Huddinge's glorius nature

 |
In Huddinge you are never far from nature. Few municipalities in Sweden can boast such a wide variety of woodland as Huddinge. Here you can find unspoilt pine forests, ancient spruce forests, mixed forests home to grazing sheep and cows plus open meadows and plenty of glittering lakes.
Sörmlandsleden is a 1,000 km hiking trail that wends its way through Södertörn. There are different grades of difficulty on the trail, ranging from demanding hikes to leisurely Sunday strolls. There are shelters and cabins along the trail for hikers to spend the night in plus designated rest areas for eating and resting.
The lakes offer plenty of excellent fishing and bathing opportunities with a mix of lengthy beaches and rocky outcrops.
Vårby strandbad, on Lake Mälaren, is an excellent sandy beach with refreshment stand, WC, outdoor showers, volley ball court, play area, cahning rooms and plenty of parking.
Flottsbrobadet on Lake Albysjön has a lovely long sandy beach while Ågestabadet on Magelungen is a nudist bathing point.
In winter there are wonderful cross contry trails at Ågesta Friluftsområde. The area is a mecca for mushroom hunters in the autumn.
